The 12th World Congress of Chemical Engineering (WCCE12) and the 21st Asia Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering Congress (APCChE 2025)—a landmark event in the global chemical engineering field—was recently held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. The 2025 International Chemical Innovation Expo took place alongside as a key supporting event.

On this global stage for academic exchange and industry-academia collaboration, DODGEN showcased its process technologies and advanced engineering equipment to the world through the congress and related events.
Media Interview
"The theme of this congress — embracing paradigm shifts in chemical engineering to meet global challenges — strongly resonates with us. As we face issues like climate change and energy shortages, many new fields are set for major transformations. In these areas, DODGEN can provide industrialized technologies and equipment for biodegradable plastics, bio-based materials, and electronic chemicals."
— Tang Xi, Chairman of Shanghai DODGEN Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., in an interview with China Chemical Industry News.
Technology Showcase
At the 2025 International Chemical Innovation Expo’s New Product & Technology Launch, DODGEN’s Swirling Falling Film Crystallizer was honored with the Outstanding Technology Achievement Award.

In chemical processes, separation accounts for up to 80% of total energy consumption. This challenge is especially acute in the purification of high-purity chemicals for electronics and advanced materials, where both energy demand and technical complexity are high. DODGEN’s Swirling Falling Film Crystallizer addresses this bottleneck—enabling the production of high-purity compounds with significantly reduced energy use.

“We integrate distillation with melt crystallization, leveraging solid-liquid phase equilibrium and efficient thermal energy utilization to achieve high-efficiency separation and purification of mixtures—while significantly reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions,”
said DODGEN’s R&D lead at the press conference.
Product Recognition
DODGEN’s Swirling Falling-Film Crystallizer has broken foreign monopolies and filled the domestic gap in the field of falling-film melt crystallization. Capable of overcoming technical barriers in the purification of ultra-high-purity chemical materials, it supports the sustainable development of key sectors such as semiconductors, new energy, and aerospace.
As a low-carbon, ultra-pure separation innovation, the technology has earned numerous accolades:
2022: Recognized as a High-Tech Achievement Transformation Project
2023: Selected as a “Shanghai Key Standardization Pilot Project”
2024: Named one of the “Top 100 High-Tech Achievements in Shanghai”
2024: Won the “Outstanding Product Award” at the China International Industry Fair
2024: Designated as a Patent-Intensive Product
2025: Listed in the “Advanced Technologies, Processes, and Equipment Directory” by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF)

Closing Remarks
At this landmark conference and exhibition, DODGEN gained valuable connections across the chemical engineering ecosystem — from technical collaborators like research institutes and top universities to tackle challenges in reaction and separation, to application partners who shared real-world needs and pain points, and market partners for mutual insight and cooperation.

Looking ahead, DODGEN will join hands with the industry to embrace the global paradigm shift in chemical engineering—driving innovation for a more sustainable and better world.
